Prof Sudipta SealDirector, Advanced materials Processing Analysis Center 9AMPAC) and Nanoscience and Technology Center (NSTC), University of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida, USA Dr. Sudipta Seal is a Professor in the University of Central Florida. He joined the Advanced Materials Processing and Analysis Center (AMPAC) and Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering (MMAE) at the University of Central Florida in 1997 after a postdoc from LBNL-UC Berkeley. He has been consistently productive in research, instruction and service to the University of Central Florida (UCF) since 1998. He has served as Nano Initiative Coordinator for the Vice-President of Research & Commercialization. He is the recipient of the 2002: Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Award (ONR-YIP). He was selected for the Japan Society of Promotion of Science Awardee and the Alexander Von Humboldt Fellow, ASM IIM Lecturer award, Royal Soc of Eng - Elected Distingusihed Professor Fellow at Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine. Dr. Seal has led various projects as a PI and Co-PI in fundamental and application oriented researches in Materials Engineering, Surface Engineering and Nanomaterials Technology, and Education related field. This includes grants from numerous National Science Foundation (NSF-DMR, DMII, CTS, ECE, INT, BES, EEC) and NSF REU site in Nanotechnology, NSF NUE (Nanotechnology Undergraduate Education), NER (Nanoscale Exploratory Research) program, SBIR-DOD, DOE (multiple), BMDO Phase I, NASA SBIR Phase I and II (all with Plasma Process), NASA-Glenn, FSEC, NIH, NSF NIRT, DOD-MDA, DURIP. He has also obtained numerous industry funding from in and outside of the State of Florida, such as, Siemens Westinghouse, PsiloQuest, nSolgel, Plasma Process, US Filter, Disney, Bionucleonics, Whirlpool, Constellation Tech., Whirlpool, PPG Industries, Lockheed Martin, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Praxair, Nelson Engineering, Ortheon Medical, Materials Interface, et al.
